 # What exactly is an aligner like Invisalign?

Clear aligners gradually move your teeth into the right position. Systems like Invisalign use custom-made transparent plastic trays. These can be made for just the upper or lower teeth - or both.

Every few weeks, the aligners are replaced with a new set. This slow and steady process helps reposition the teeth - without the brackets and wires used in traditional braces.
